Belmont Heights Program Philosophy
- Revitalize physically distressed public housing sites
- Transform the lives of its residents
- Contribute to the improvement of the surrounding neighborhoods
- Feature a broader unit type mix - public and non-public rental housing units and homeownership units
- Provide targeted services to residents designed to achieve upward mobility, including potential for homeownership
- Focus on rebuilding sustainable communities
- Promote job development and placement partnerships with local employers for residents of the public housing community
- Introduce private property management practices to the new rental component including strict tenant screening and lease information
