HUD-VASH
The HUD-VASH program combines HUD Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Veterans Affairs at its medical centers and in the community. Ongoing VA case management, health and other supportive services sites across the nation.
HUD VASH vouchers are rental vouchers used specifically for homeless veterans. Currently the Tampa Housing Authority has 140 vouchers which were awarded 2008. Families are determined eligible through the Department of Veterans Affairs and sent as a referral to the Tampa Housing Authority for rental assistance.
