FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYER EDUCATION TRAINING
First-Time Homebuyer Education Training consists of a total of sixteen (16) hours in Homebuyer Education to improve the participant’s knowledge of the home buying process.
- Training is held every month, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for 4 weeks in length, with the exception of the month of December.
- Topics for the workshops include:
- Money Management
- Understanding Credit
- Shopping for a Home
- The Lending Process
- Foreclosure Prevention
- Home Maintenance and Preservation

HOME PRESERVATION FRIDAYS
Have you experienced a hardship or have fallen behind on your mortgage? Home Preservation Fridays will provide you with the knowledge to protect your investment by discovering work-out options that may be available. Participants will receive an overview of the Foreclosure Process, learn how to understand mortgage terms and recognize mortgage loan scams. Workshops are held every Friday from 3:00pm-5:00pm. HOME MAINTENANCE EDUCATION
Learn how to preserve and protect your investment through the Home Maintenance Education. The goal of the training is to educate participants by adding the ability to be self-sufficient. Classes are offered twice annually consisting of four (4) classes each covering the following topics:
- Home Safety
- Energy Efficiency
- Basics of Electrical
- Drywall Repair
- Painting
- Plumbing and Flooring
