“Combined with education and structured wholesome activities, we are able to keep our youth engaged and off the streets this summer” says Jerome Ryans, THA President/CEO. “The staff at the Oaks, Coach Kevin Knox and Kenny Bryant, are doing an excellent job and are to be commended for the great schedule they have put together for our kids”.
The youth are engaged in activities that include: arts and crafts, kickball, soccer, flag football skating, visits to the Glazers Children’s Museum, bowling, trips to MOSI, Lettuce Lake Park, Tampa International Airport Guided Tour and Scavenger Hunt, Florida Aquarium, Qzar Laser Tag, Malibu Raceway, Big Cat Rescue and the Kennedy Space Center. As a special treat, the youth have attended a Rays vs Reds game in June and are scheduled to attend a Rays vs Blue Jays game on August 4, 2011.
