PRE-PURCHASE COUNSELING

The Center offers one-on-one pre-purchase counseling to assist potential homebuyers through the process of achieving their goal of homeownership. Our pre-purchase counseling services will analyze the client’s credit and budget, assist with setting goals, develop an action plan and evaluate mortgage readiness in order to provide the knowledge and tools needed for making the best, informative and educated decision in their homebuying process.

*Completion of First-Time Homebuyer Education Training is required prior to individual counseling.

CREDIT AND BUDGET COUNSELING

The basic elements of credit and budget counseling are Credit, Budget and Savings. Counselors will assist individuals with the restoration of credit, review of monthly expenses and the establishment of a savings plan by empowering them to reach their financial goals and solve financial problems.

FORECLOSURE INTERVENTION AND DEFAULT

The Foreclosure Intervention & Default Counseling program provides assistance to individuals and families who have experienced a hardship or facing difficulty making their mortgage payments due to loss of income or other financial hardship. Counselors act as a liaison on behalf of the client to mediate with the lending industry. Through education and counseling sessions, options are identified to determine the best alternative available for the client to avoid foreclosure.
