Central Park / Ybor Choice Neighborhood

The Tampa Housing Authority is pleased to provide this webpage in an effort to keep our community updated on the Central Park / Ybor Choice Neigbhorhood Grant implementation. In December 2012 the U.S. Department of HUD awarded the Housing Authority with the Choice Neighborhood implementation grant to help revitilize the Central Park / Ybor community and turn it into a vibrant neighborhood of Choice. This is a 5 year, $30 million grant that will be executed with the help of many experienced community organizations to affect real change and create opportunities within the Central Park and Ybor area. The Tampa Housing Authority received a $30 million check from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to develop and revitilize the entire Central Park area. This is the largest check ever given out by the agency.
